• Biography

  Universe: So, while Jean Kirschtein originates from Attack on Titan, I do write him quite a bit differently from how he is portrayed in canon. Without spoiling too much of the series for those who may not have seen or read it, Jean was a soldier in a past life, and ultimately died at the hand, or mouth rather, of the monsters they were fighting.
  That's not canon, he's fine.
  His AU is inspired by a prompt I saw once that said that birthmarks could be indicators of how you died in a past life. Even though Attack on Titan takes place in a dystopian future, it is set in the past for purpose of the AU. I took it a step further by making it so that the birthmarks are not only indicators of death, but replicate any wounds and scars received in that lifetime.
  
  Background: Jean was raised in a life not too different from that of his past. His parents both have money, his father being a lawyer and his mother owning her own restaurant. Jean himself has always had a bit of a smart mouth as well as not being one to back down from a fight as a kid. Because of this, he ended up being sent to a Catholic alternative school when he was in the 9th grade. It was a boarding school, so he didn't really get to see much of his family or friends for 2-3 years. He hated that place. Intensely.
  After a rather intense fight with one of the priests, he was kicked out of the school and was able to return to his old high school. He would be returned to the 11th grade and repeat it because he did hardly anything at the Catholic school, especially toward his last months there.
  He is now 18, and has trust issues. He doesn't really get into fights anymore and isn't nearly as much of a smartass as he was.
  
  Other Headcanons:
  - His middle name is Alexandre
  - Jean is prone to nightmares and flashbacks, though they are too vague for him to really pinpoint what's going on. They are terrifying images from a life he doesn't even remember.
  - Literally the only reason I'm starting him off as 18 here rather than my muses age of 21, is because the biography is long enough without the weird complicated events that took place for the next 2 or 3 years of his life. So I'm starting him fresh.
  - He speaks German, French, and English. I don't, however, so that probably won't be portrayed. Rip.
  - Farlan Church is his older half brother. I will stand by this til the day I die even if I never get to RP it.
